SHAKESPEARE # All the world's a stage

INTERESTING FACT 

William Shakespeare's birthday is celebrated on the 23rd of April ( tomorrow 😀) and incidentally it is also his death Anniversary 😔

My acquaintance with Shakespeare dates back to when I was in the sixth grade🤩 

 Tales from Shakespeare by Charles and Mary lamb in front of me was laid  😇

It was part of our curriculum then 😇

The simple version taken from the maestro's pen 🖊 ✨ 

The duo had picked the best and amongst the twenty 

Merchant of Venice my favorite used to be 😍

Pericles's tragic pursuits  brought tears to my eyes 😥

But the ending twisted and turned into a beautiful surprise 😇

Othello and King Lear 🤴 made me think, how even the mightiest can misjudge 🤔

Romeo and Juliet💔 paid through their lives on account of an ancient grudge 😭

How fate and fortune brings along happy friends 🤠🤠

We could see in the Timon of Athens 🤨

But once it's lost , gone are the friends🥵

The inner conflict of Macbeth as he fights fate and free will 😮

Sanity becomes insanity and innocence becomes guilt😬 

The Tempest had a raging storm and super natural elements🙃

Hamlet is the story of a prince and how he seeks revenge 😒

Much ado about Nothing is as good as the title suggests 🤩

And the Comedy of errors with its superb plot left us impressed 👏 

One which got us all the more excited was Taming of the Shrew 😏

Katherine's anger met its match and was wonderfully subdued 😇

All was well till the plays where Simple tales😃

Coming into the real thing was like looking at everything in detail 🧐

For our 9 th and 10th grades we had Julius Caesar from the start 😀

Welcome to the world of Thee , thy and thou art 🤓🤓

The title of the story was ofcourse Julius Caesar 🤔

Although he died midway and had very few dialogs to deliver.😒

It was Brutus and Antony all the way 🙂🙃

The rest didn't have much to say 🤏

All said and done the play was amazing in all its extremes👍👍

Right form the "Ides of March which means March Fifteenth

"Et tu Brute ? Then fall Caesar" to Mark Antony's entire speech👍👍👍

Just proves to the entire world how this play is a Master piece👌👌👌👏👏

"You blocks you stones you worse than senseless things "😐

Have given us new ways to provoke, everytime with different meanings 😁

"Cowards die many times before their deaths ", has for ages been an inspiration 💪

"The fault , dear Brutus is not in our stars but in ourselves, " is again a sensation 🌠🌠

But for my part ..in my exam😑

I had got confused between dialogs of Marullus and Flavius🙄

And got a zero in reference to the context 😑

Still I totally enjoyed being a part of this old Elizabethan Era to the core💖💖💖

As Brutus said " Not that I Loved Caesar less but I loved Rome More "💯❤

    Shakespeare is everyone’s favorite.A master storyteller. He has something for everyone.my favorite is Macbeth

    I just now type a long comment and could just not post! Anyhow in just 6th standard you have read so much Shakespeare. I don't know half of what you mentioned,,, I have seen a couple of shakespearean plays and aware of all the characters but then never read them so much...u rock
    .. that fault in our stars quote is tweaked in the book with the same name isn't it by John green?

   Disclaimer:  I am participating in  Blogging from A-Z challenge 2022  and this is my post for R# RUN LOLA RUN When I was young, the world was beautiful,  nice and green 🌴🌳🌲🪴🌿🌿🍀☘🌱 I was scared of dying and leaving the fun in between 🌺🌷⚘🌼🌻🥀🌹🏵💐 As I grew older it became a little less merriment 🙁 As homework and expectations took the place of enjoyment 🙃 I thought it was all temporary  Once I reached adulthood, it will again be merry 🙂  So till then RUN LOLA RUN 🏃‍♀️  The fun will soon return  As I became an adult, soon came matrimony and parenthood 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 The need of the hour said to fulfil my duties as a good wife and mother should 🤹‍♀️ The sun still shone beautifully 🌞  And the birds chirped happily 🦜🦜  Yet RUN LOLA RUN  So much still needs to be done ✔  Life was smooth, just a little hectic 😇 Till out of the blue came the PANDEMIC🤔 I wish it was an albatross and I the ancient Mariner😈 I could have easily shot it with my gun to keep the world happier.

FACE THE MUSIC WITH ME

 Disclaimer: I am participating in  Blogging from A-Z challenge 2022  and this is my sixth post, F # FACE THE MUSIC WITH ME  The incident to which I shall be relating. the series proving how big an idiot I am, took place at the World famous Goddess Karni Temple near Bikaner, Rajasthan. It was during our Autumn 😎 Break. My Parents and we four sisters were on a road trip to Rajasthan's holy places. It was the last stop, almost our journey's end before heading back to Jaipur. Let me brief you before we proceed, that Karni Mata Mandir is also known as the Temple of Rats with approximately 25,000 black and white ones, housed there. We were not expecting them to be dangerous, or scary. To be honest, I had imagined them in their nice warm cages, but no, as we entered, I was in shock. The sudden realisation that in the next 15 to 20 minutes we shall be surrounded by potentially thousands of RATS.
